Community Involvement

Here at Resource One we believe that community is a critical part of who we are and what we do.

We Give Back to Our Local Communities

When you choose Resource One, you help support the local community. Whether it’s participating in community projects or organizing financial literacy programs, we believe in the importance of supporting our local community.

R1 Day of Service

Tuesday, June 11th

Each year, Resource One participates in the National Credit Union Foundation’s annual Designated Educator (DE) Day of Service. This day brings all Resource One employees together to support a common cause and tell the story of the credit union movement.

This year Resource One will be supporting three causes to improve the lives of those in our local community, while helping others in the world.

Vogle Alcove

Vogel Alcove provides a broad array of therapeutic services for children who are experiencing homelessness in the Dallas community. Resource One is a proud Community Hero with Vogel Alcove. During our Day of Service we will be providing the kids with supplies for their summer activities, which includes swim lessons.

Habitat for Humanity Houston

Resource One will be providing lunch to the volunteers and family benefiting from a Habitat for Humanity project.

Kenya Project

Resource One is contributing to the annual salary for a librarian at the Don Bosco Special School in Likuyani Africa. Don Bosco serves students with physical disabilities who are children of small-scale farmers. Credit Unions nationwide played a significant role in funding a three-classroom addition at Don Bosco, which was completed in July 2018.
