Resource One Credit Union Teaches Employees Valuable Skills with the Introduction to Leadership Course

Resource One Credit Union employees take the Introduction to Leadership course preparing them to learn the differences in managing and leading.

DALLAS, TX (November 10, 2017)

Resource One Credit Union annually provides a three-month training class to teach employees the difference between managing and leading called Introduction to Leadership. The goal for the Introduction to Leadership course is to teach employees how to communicate effectively with their team as a leader, not just a manager. This class has been provided to educate employees on how to efficiently and positively lead their team to success.

The Introduction to Leadership course uses assignments and experiences to instill proper leadership techniques. The coursework requires employees to take tests and written assignments containing well thought out responses and a high level of professionalism.  The Introduction to Leadership participants completed the program by assembling sack lunches to distribute to the homeless.

The program mentors were participants from the R1 Credit Union Leadership Team: Michael Moore – Call Center Manager, Gina Yetman – Underwriter, Jorge Colunga – Branch Manager, Jason Ruiz – Branch Manager, and Erika Reyes – Branch Manager.

The Introduction to Leadership graduates from November 2017 include (shown in picture from left to right): Ajay Joseph – Network Administrator, Angela McCarter – Commercial Lending Administrator, Joe Savala – Real Estate Loan Officer, Myra Khusroo (Honors Graduate) – Branch Manager, Jessica Williams – Loan Officer, Ryann Martinez – Branch Services Representative, Bernadette Blue (Honors Graduate) – Assistant Branch Manager, Vincent Nieto – Loan Officer, Josh Smith – Loan Officer, Oscar Guzman – Members Solutions Clerk, and Michelle Ingram – Internal Auditor (not pictured).
