Do you have documents containing sensitive and personal information taking up space in your home? Are you looking for a safe and secure way to dispose of these documents for free? We have great news for you!

Resource One hosts several FREE Document Shredding events throughout the year where you can safely destroy your documents containing sensitive and personal information. No sign up necessary. Simply show up with your documents to be shredded and watch as your documents are safely and securely shredded.

The event maybe cancelled or rescheduled in the case of severe weather.

Items to Shred

What should you shred? See the below list for examples of items that you should shred. As a rule of thumb, if it has personal information on it, you should shred it rather than throw it away!

  • Invoices
  • Financial Statements
  • Canceled Checks
  • Checkbooks
  • Medical Records
  • Credit Reports
  • Tax Returns
  • Any Personal Documents

Limits and Restrictions

10 box limit. Paper documents only. We cannot shred the following items:

  • Plastic bags, trash bags, or baggies
  • Trash of any kind
  • Binders
  • Metal such as binder clips (staples and paper clips are acceptable)
